Admission / registration

Study requirements

In order to begin a course of study at the College of Social Pedagogy, you will need to provide: 

  • School leaving certificate
  • Access qualification
  • or a vocational access qualification

To become a social education worker you need to be able to cope with stressful situations and be have a good ability to manage conflicts. You also need to be flexible and be a good team worker. In addition, you should be creative, be interested in sports, music and handicrafts. 

Professional requirements:

  • physical stamina (organisation of sports activities, games, hikes,...),
  • organisational ability (organisation of events and activities),
  • social skills (looking after children, adolescents and adults, contact with parents and guardians),
  • ability to work in a team, good language skills (explaining, leading discussions, advising young people),
  • innovation (developing new organisational methods),
  • independence (developing and applying new programmes),
  • willingness to learn (ability to adapt to the professional change).

 

Aptitude tests:

Aptitude tests and consultation for prospective students are offered on two days in April. Potential applicants are tested fro professional motivation, physical aptitude, and musical and creative ability.

Aptitude tests - divided into tests for prospective students for part time and full time students - take pláce in the summer term (April) at the College for Social Pedagogy in Linz.

 

Fees

Tuition fees at the College of Social Pedagogy are €95 per month, to be paid 10 times per year (September - June). Information concerning methods of payment can be obtained from Fr. Mrazek (Secretary's office).

Registration

The registration period for courses of study at the College of Social Pedagogy ends on April 20th for courses starting in the following winter semester. Please fill in the necessary information in the "contact" section, so we can send you the necessary forms and information.
