G002 - Probleme beim Fremdsprachenerwerb und mögliche Ursachen

Sprachentwicklungsstörungen in der Kindheit haben oft Auswirkungen auf den späteren Fremdsprachenerwerb. Ein nicht intaktes erstsprachliches System lässt jeden weiteren Spracherwerb zur Herausforderung werden. Mit Schwierigkeiten im Erstspracherwerb gehen oft weitere Defizite, etwa im Bereich der Exekutivfunktionen / im Schriftspracherwerb einher, was die Anforderung zusätzlich erschwert. Die Fortbildung beschäftigt sich mit den wichtigsten Sprachentwicklungsstörungen und damit verbundenen Beeinträchtigungen im Sekundarschulalter und erklärt Umgangsmöglichkeiten für Fremdsprachenlehrpersonen.

Much of the current discussion about GenAI in education focuses on whether learners should use it or not. However, many learners are already using it, but may not be doing so as effectively or ethically as they could. In this session we will discuss how GenAI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Bard, etc.) can help learners develop their English language skills, try out lots of practical applications, and consider how teachers can best help learners to use AI as a learning assistant in their English lessons and in their own self-study.
