The Linz Center for Educational Research and Evaluation is based on a cooperation between the Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz, the Linz School of Education of the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the University of Teacher Education of Upper Austria.
We want to intensify the exchange of scientific and didactic knowledge in the field of educational research and, in the context of this collaboration, increase scientific expertise in educational research and evaluation.
Our focus is on the following main objectives:
- Designing, implementing, advising on and evaluating joint projects in educational research, particularly in the fields of teaching and school development, teacher training research, educational justice and the evaluation of education-related development projects.
- Developing concepts, measures and offers for the research-based further training of employees at all participating institutions.
- Further development of research-based training, further education and continuing education for teachers at all types of schools in Upper Austria with the aim of achieving a better understanding of the approaches and results of educational research and their use for teaching and school development in joint teacher training.
The Linz Centre for Educational Research and Evaluation is managed by a cooperation team consisting of members from all three participating institutions.

The Linz Center for Educational Research and Evaluation is currently involved in the following cooperation projects in the areas of research, development, evaluation and further training.
- Competence development and study experience in teacher training. Longitudinal study on the development of job-related characteristics in the new teacher training courses.
- Research-based learning in the educational sciences / foundations of a new teacher education
The Linz Centre for Educational Research and Evaluation contributes its research expertise to the new doctoral programme in Education.
