Directions
By plane:
Blue Danube Airport Linz - approximately 20km to the southwest of Linz - provides a shuttle service to the city centre. Linz is connected to all major European cities via Vienna Schwechat and Frankfurt airports.
By rail:
There are trains to and from Vienna Central Station every hour.
There are also connections to Salzburg every hour.
From Linz Hauptbahnhof (Main Station) you catch the No 27 bus and get off at the stop "Salesianumweg".
By car:
Approaching from either west or east, you reach Linz via Westautobahn (A1). Take the exit "Linz" and follow the signposts for 'Zentrum' or 'Hauptbahnhof'. Having crossed a fly-over (railway) turn left at the second set of traffic lights for "Stadion" or "Botanischer Garten". Follow the road as far as the stadium. After 500 meters, turn right for "Botanischer Garten". Before you reach the botanical gardens, turn half left for "Diözesanhaus" or "Pädagogische Hochschule".
Approaching from the north via Mühlkreisautobahn (A7), follow the signposts for "Botanischer Garten" or "Diözesanhaus".
