Positive psychology and optimism go together.
Many recent studies confirm that a better attitude about life is likely to make you more productive and even live longer. Within our classrooms we can also improve the atmosphere by ensuring an optimistic attitude in ourselves and promoting it in our students.
In this workshop we look at the value of optimism, how you can improve it and how to help students form more optimistic and positive views to help them learn better, be happier and more successful.

L095 - Liven Up your lessons! · Let's look on the bright side of both language teaching and learning

Standing at the front of the class explaining things on a whiteboard or using exercises from a good course book are useful ways in which to teach a language.

HOWEVER, if this style of teaching dominates a lesson, it can get a little boring, to say the least.

This workshop aims to help you bring some FUN into the classroom. We will look at the benefits of interactive lessons and look at ways to properly engage students using games, tasks and activities that will keep them talking and even smiling about the lesson long after the bell has gone!
