We will explore strategies to speak only English during lessons and offer motivating ways to make pupils use English and memorise words. In addition, tools to plan and organise lessons will be introduced. Based on these ideas, we will then try out a variety of games and fun activities. Participants will get to know songs and rhymes for classroom use. The seminar also provides a lot of material for special times of the year.

L076 - Tea Time at PHDL 1 · Brush up your English communication skills, exchange material, meet and greet

The seminar focuses on communicative skills. We will discuss current topics, exchange teaching materials, update our speaking skills. There will also be optional ‚surprise special guests‘ to inspire us. Teachers at all school types are most welcome to join and contribute. Also, this afternoon can boost returners and teachers who would like to activate their spoken English.

L078 - Ready-steady-go! · Learning English in a playful way for beginners (6 - 10 years)

Teaching young pupils English needs to be done in a playful and motivating way. Songs, rhymes and easy games will be shown in this seminar and tried out by the teachers on the spot to experience learning by doing! Basic vocabulary will be covered, including numbers, colours and simple phrases.

L903 - ERASMUS+ Dazzling Dublin 2021 · Irish delights

Ziel dieser “Dazzling Dublin Fortbildung“ ist, dass die teilnehmenden Englisch - Lehrkräfte, hauptsächlich aus APS, VS und BS, notwendige Fertigkeiten für den Unterricht trainieren. Es werden auch bereits Unterrichtssequenzen erarbeitet, die unmittelbar nach der Rückkehr umgesetzt werden können. Außerdem werden IT-Fertigkeiten, Kreativität, neue kommunikative Techniken und landeskundliche Kenntnisse, sowie Sprachfertigkeiten ausgebaut. Der höchst relevante Input auf sprachlicher und landeskundlicher Ebene ist unverzichtbar.
